A FANTASTIC HISTORIC SYMPOSIUM!!! Nearly one hundred attendees from Europe and America gathered for three days in New York City's Mid-Town neighborhood to enjoy eminent speakers, special private tours, delicious group dinners, an elegant banquet at the Harvard Club of New York, dedication of the new world-class Jost Bürgi Library at the Horological Society of New York, and hours of socializing and conversations with friends new and old. Video recordings of each lecture now may be viewed online. Printed copies of the 84-page symposium program, complete with brief bios and photos of more than 200 past horological collectors, may be requested from Bob Frishman while the supply lasts. Thanks again to all those who attended, and especially to each lecturer who received no fee or compensation for their lecture preparation and delivery. And great thanks, too, to our exclusive sponsor, Sotheby's, and to the many individual donors who made this historic event possible. All symposium organizers and committee members are volunteers, and these events receive no direct financial support from the NAWCC. Donations to the dedicated symposium fund always are gratefully received. Johannes Graf, the speaker from Germany, posted this symposium report on the website of the museum in the Black Forest where he is the long-time curator.
